Scouts Eye: Pablo Armero Fullback Udinese

In this past weekend's win over Udinese , Juventus showed that it has no intention of slowing its title challange. The team battled through very heavy snow and a formidable opponent in Udinese to pull out yet another important head to head victory against one of its primary Scudetto rivals. As the Juventus DNA of old continues to show up time and time again during the first half of this season, willing it to postive results like so many seasons before, we would like to focus our attention on one of the opositions players for our current addition of the "Scout's Eye report", Pablo Armero.

The 25 year old Columbian defender trully distinquished himself as he showed the very will to win, and desire to impose his will on the game , that makes the Juve DNA so difficult to beat. Armero raised his game to meet the level of the occasion, he was going to do all he could to help his team battle for points against the Italian Giants. This character on the pitch, is very important for players especially when they are playing against more famous rivals. His tenacity and never ending work rate, showed that he was not inferior to his Turin counterparts, in fact he was out to show everyone watching that he could play with and out play some of the big boys. Udinese isn't exactly a small team, but they are a midlevel team, that continously outperforms expectations, and the main reason for their ability to find and sign players before they become so expensive that they would lose out to thier bigger rivals. In fact Udine continously find talented young players, introduce them to the world of European football, and serie A, field strong squads that challange for places in Europe, and then sell thier players to bigger squads for large profits. They are able to this because of superior scouting, even to teams like Milan, Juve, and Inter.

Armero is only one of the latest examples of a long list of players, most recent include Sanchez and Inler to name a few. If Armero can prove to show a continous level of performace, I'm sure he will be one of the next players to be transfering to a bigger squad and bringing in valuble revenue for Udine. Watch out for Pablo Armero and while we are at it, we want to give much deserved praise to the Udinese president and scouting team, they continously show how its done when it comes to putting together a competitve team, while running a sound fiscally responsible club.

"Scout's Eye Report" is exactly what it sounds like, as someone who believes they have a very strong eye for talent and player evaluation, I've decided to put my money where my mouth is and go on record with these player recomendations. My goal is to create discussion and to infact challange myself to fine tune my evaluations. I invite you all to keep score of my player predictions along with me, for good or bad I can take it. :)
