Scout's Eye: Federico Peluso Left Full Back Atalanta

During today's Atlanta Vs Juventus game we took note of an interesting player, Federico Peluso. The Left back isn't a young player, being 28 years of age; however he is still a relatively unknown one. Peluso's height and stature catches your attention imediately, has he stands at 6.1 Ft Tall. Peluso shows strong convinction in the tackle and is very also shows good instinct in overall defensive posisitioning, especially when it comes to making diagonal runs when needed. He is strong in the air with his head, and shows gilimpses of solid timing and speed when he makes runs forward. Peluso reminds me of the early playing days of another italian fullback also named Federico , of course I'm referring to Federico Balzaretti. Peluso still has a long way to go to reach Balzaretti fame and consistency. However if you look at the speed and timeliness of his overlapping runs on the wing, his physical atributes, and the fluidity of his running coupled with solid technique on the ball and in the cross. Peluso is someone that one could find himself playing for one of the bigger clubs in Italy or in Europe soon. The point of the "Scout's Eye" articles is to make note of up and coming players, exhibit quality player evaluations, and put my evaluations on record for the world to see, for better or worse. I for one see Federico Peluso as someone with very strong potential and someone that club presidents should look at if they want to purchase a player before they become overvalued and cost prohibitive on the transfer market. In fact , I think Juventus, who is looking for a left fullback could do a lot worse then to lookin into Peluso, assuming a workable transfer fee.
